Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw weren't pulling any fashion punches when it came to their head attire when spotted out in New York.

The director and his actress wife were celebrating the Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom star's 62nd birthday on Tuesday, and appeared to be letting it go to their heads.

Kate made an impression in a festive, eye-catching look of a bowler hat, as she stepped out in New York City with her husband of 24 years.

The two appeared to be in good spirits for the outing, showing off wide grins as they walked hand-in-hand together to celebrate at Bar Pitti.

Kate wore a form-fitting, studded black bomber jacket over top of a fitted black T-shirt for her birthday outing.

She sported the button down top tucked into a pair of light orange trousers, which she wore cuffed at the ankles.

Kate showed off a dark manicure, and accessorized with a pair of hoop earrings, as well as a bit of eyeliner.

She seemed to be in good spirits for the outing, showing off a big smile as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband Steven.

Steven finished off his laid-back look with a grey newsboy cap, covering his eyes with a pair of round-framed sunglasses.
