Five years, three albums and a third world tour under her belt, Ellie Goulding returned to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Wednesday five years after her debut - and she couldn't wait to celebrate.

The blonde, dressed in a rocky ensemble of silk shorts and a leather jacket, hopped straight across town to hit new London haunt Sexy Fish for the launch of the new Matchless Star Wars collection following her Maida Vale performance.

Ellie, 28, showed off her legs as she hit the upmarket eatery with her McBusted rocker beau, Dougie Poynter after making a quick change out of leather trousers and a band T-shirt, which she'd worn to debut tracks from upcoming album Delirium that afternoon.

Following her late night at the Harper's Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2015, where she'd scooped the Musician accolade, Ellie was far from turning in early on Wednesday.

She marked a landmark event in her calendar by popping across town to a launch at the swanky new Asian and seafood establishment on Berkeley Square.

Ellie had dressed up for the occasion in patent ankle boots and a jacket appropriately adorned with gold shells and seahorses.

Rock romance: The couple looked achingly cool as they made their way inside the upmarket Mayfair eatery

Flying solo: She'd been celebrating her Live Lounge performance and headed straight over from Maida Vale

At the studio she'd been casually dressed in a green bomber jacket and chunky boots, where she'd joined DJ Annie Mac for the intimate session among fans.

With two days to go until Ellie releases her third studio album Delirium, the star was unveiling some of her favourite tracks for the group.

It was a memorable experience because her career had largely been launched with the backing of Radio 1 back in 2010 when she hit the music scene with her debut album Lights.

Taking time to reflect on the experience, Ellie wrote on Instagram: 'So tonight I performed with my band, live on Radio 1 at Maida Vale and played new songs from Delirium in front of fans.

'This was where it began,' she added. 'And this is where I belong and for that reason it was magical and brilliant.

'I've had a tough week, but this really made me remember why I do what I do, and I can't wait to see you on tour next year. The place I most most feel myself.'
