She had been busy having her naturally-blonde locks tended to.

And Busy Philipps wasted no time in unveiling her freshly-dyed barnet as she emerged from a salon in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, sporting blue-tipped hair on Thursday.

The former Dawson's Creek actress couldn't have looked happier with the results of her bold ombre job as she was smiling from ear-to-ear.

Busy, 36, braved colouring her sleek tresses with a Kylie Jenner-style shade of blue from the tips to the middle.

The Cougar Town star focused attention on her highlighted hair as she favoured a plain and simple dress code for her day of pampering.

Busy Phillips displayed some busy hair. She unveiled her new punk look while out in Los Angeles.

She paired her blue hued hair with a look that seems to be inspired by the Yeezy collection. Busy donned a green trench, gray dress, ankle boots and a taupe crossbody bag.

Lets be honest, taupe is the kind of color that can be worn year around, whether you sport it with a summer dress or integrate it into your fall attire, you'll be fashion forward either way.

Busy slipped on a grey mini dress which revealed her shapely legs that she lengthened with a pair of black heeled ankle boots.

She threw on a khaki-coloured duster coat which she wore unbelted and she protected her eyes with a pair of large-lens sunglasses.

The mother-of-two seemed in a sprightly spirit as she ran errands, picking up dry-cleaning and such.

Busy first debuted a blue dip-dye job back in May but that was comparably bolder and brighter than her latest barnet.

She recently celebrated the launch of a comedy short, entitled A Busy Fall, which she directed.

Her next project sees her star in HBO show Vice Principals which airs next year.

She will play Gale Liptrapp, the ex-wife to one of the vice principals, Neal Gamby, who will be played by Eastbound and Down star Danny McBride.
