Feeling confident? Chirpy Cheryl Fernandez-Versini looks lithe in skinny jeans as she leaves X Factor rehearsals with a cheeky grin

She had one of her acts knocked out of the competition on Sunday.

So it's no wonder that The X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 32, looked like she meant business as she arrived at the Fountain Studios in Wembley, London for rehearsals on Friday.

But when she left, the chirpy former girlband member wore a wide smile - just a hint at her quiet confidence for the second set of live shows this weekend.

Confident? Cheryl Fernandez-Versini showed off a wide grin as she left X Factor rehearsals in London on Friday night

Cheryl, who has acts 4th Impact as well as Reggie and Bollie still in the competition, couldn't mask her wide smile after spending time with her finalists.

She left in the dark, having dedicated much of her day - the final one before the big day - to getting them prepped for the second live performance on Saturday.

On arrival, the talent show star appeared to have her head firmly in the game, focused intently on the seemingly important conversation she was having on the phone.

The former Girls Aloud singer was dressed appropriately for the British weather, swamping her slim figure in a grey grungy biker jacket with beaded detail on the pockets and shoulders.

She kept her outfit casual wearing black skinny jeans with ripped knees, adding height to her petite frame with black leather, silver-capped ankle boots.

The Geordie beauty concealed her make-up free appearance behind a pair of mirrored aviator sunglasses, sweeping her brunette locks up into a loose up-do.

Your old military style parka jacket is looking a mite boring right now. Having seen Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's pearl embellished grey version we want to join the X-Factor judge's gang immediately!

Yes the humble trans-seasonal rainwear staple suddenly seems a whole lot more exciting when you factor a bit of bling into the equation. Cheryl's Fay pick really does have it all, despite the fact it's no longer available meaning us poor people can't copy her!

However, you can get the look with Asos' embellished parka reduced to half price and our current crush, a space age silver version from Monki or Topshop's native American fur trimmed number. Danielle Romeril is still expensive even at half price but if you're looking for an investment piece then this is it.

PS - just for the record, her T-shirt is by tongue in cheek label Rotten Roach.

It was a far cry from her glamorous appearance at the Elf: The Musical preview in the West End on Thursday night.

The popstar looked stunning in a slimming optical-illusion dress, which made her already tiny figure look even smaller, as she attended the musical to support her former bandmate Kimberley Walsh.

Her group, 4th Impact, were also spotted at rehearsals on Friday, although there was no sign of Reggie and Bollie. Her third group, Alien Uncovered, were sent home on Sunday night's results show.

Judge Nick Grimshaw also made an appearance, along with his rumoured boyfriend, photographer Michael Mayren, and two of his contestants; Mason Noise and Che Chesterman.

Rita Ora - who has four acts remaining in the competition - arrived at rehearsals looking incredibly focused earlier on Friday.

Joined by her acts Lauren Murray, Keira Weathers, Louisa Johnson and Monica Michael, the I Will Never Let You Down hit-maker held a rapt facial expression as she entered the practice space.

No doubt hoping to lead one of her girls to victory during her X Factor debut, the singer dressed comfortably for her day of mentoring.

Not straying too far from her edgy roots, Rita teamed a statement blazer, which featured cut-out detailing along the arms, with a grunge style T-shirt and ripped skinny jeans.

Her signature blonde locks were worn in a messy top knot, while her face, which was donning a pair of aviator shades, looked to be free of make-up.

Despite her low maintenance look, the pop princess looked to have a slight diva moment as a member of her entourage was seen holding a large umbrella over the star's head in a bid to shield her from the drizzly weather.

But while Rita looked in the zone, contestants Lauren and Keira looked in far sprightlier spirits as they headed toward the practice space.

Typically upbeat Lauren, 25, was in possession of a beaming smile as she braved the rain, even offering a wave to photographers.

Like her mentor, the singing hopeful kept her look casual in a grey V-neck jumper, which she layered beneath a black fur gillet, leggings and knee-high boots.

Making more of an effort was her rival Keira, with the 18-year-old already cementing herself a fashionable reputation in a black mini dress and leather jacket.

But Lauren and Keira's buoyancy wasn't mimicked by all of the girls category, as contestants Louisa and Monica appeared to cut a more coy figure as they made their way into rehearsals.

Keen not to be noticed, Monica, 24, even went as far as to conceal herself beneath her dressing gown.
