The Rock Dwayne Johnson caresses girlfriend Lauren Hashian's baby bump in sweet Instagram snap and reveals they're expecting a girl

It was reported that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian were expecting their first child together back in September.

And on Tuesday the 43-year-old took to Instagram to finally confirm the news, as well as to celebrate that the pair would be having a girl.

'Bring on more estrogen in our home,' Dwayne cheekily hashtagged the sweet photo of the pair, in which he could be seen lovingly holding his girlfriend's growing baby bump.

In the photo, The Rock looks casual in a fitted olive green T-shirt, as his eyes are hidden behind a pair of Aviator sunglasses.

He shows off a big smile while cuddling up to his girlfriend of nine years, who is also grinning as well as throwing her arm in the air in celebration.

She sports a coordinating green zip-up over a form-fitting white tank top which highlights her burgeoning baby bump.

The Rock has his hand lovingly placed on the bump, as the two share their excitement while posing in front of a gorgeous fall locale.

Dwayne captioned the heartwarming photo: 'I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more... IT'S A BABY GIRL!!'

'THANK YOU guys so much for the awesome support and love you've sent @laurenhashianofficial and myself from around the world.'

He continued: 'We're so grateful for this blessing and thrilled to share the news with y'all,' adding hashtags: '#MeAndPuppyHobbsAreTheOnlyDudes #Proud2xPapaBear #JustOverHereMakingBabiesAndStuff.'

The pregnancy was originally reported by RadarOnline, with a source saying: 'Dwayne and Lauren couldn’t be more thrilled.'

The unnamed source continued: 'They’ve been rock solid for about nine years now and felt it was time to expand their family.'

The San Andreas star has a 14-year-old daughter Simone from his marriage to college sweetheart Dany Garcia.

The pair married in 1997 after meeting at the University of Miami and announced their amicable split in June 2007.

Simone lives with her mom in Florida and regularly spends time with her famous dad.

Dwayne currently has a packed film schedule, as he prepares for upcoming roles such as a reprisal of his character Hobbs - from box office smash Furious 7 - in Furious 8, and for voicing the character Maui in Disney cartoon Moana.
