But ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt is living proof that new mothers can maintain their pre-pregnancy figure - as she proved when she partied with husband Max Rogers on Tuesday.

The blonde chart star, who rose to fame in the Nicole Scherzinger-fronted group, opted for understated class with the number, which was a fashion hit.

Lapping up the attention at the Burberry store on London's Regent Street, she looked delighted to be at the star-studded party and deftly show off her fantastic shape.

Kimberly announced she and Max were expecting their first child together in August 2014, before welcoming little Willow into the world in December.

The dancer tied the knot with the male model in September 2013 after two-and-a-half years of dating.

Earlier this year, Kimberly said that motherhood can be challenging.

'Life is filled with more joy than ever. It's tough sometimes and I think I drink more coffee than I used to but I feel so fulfilled,' she told Daily Mail Femail.

'When work gets tough I have Max send me a picture or video of Willow and I just realise that all that matters really is our happiness as a family.

'She is a real motivator for me to do great things in my life and lead by example as much as I can.'

Showing off her curvaceous figure, the retro number also featured an alluring backless design for added sex appeal.

Capping the ensemble with a pair of bejewelled shoes, she looked every inch the film star.

Alice does not frequent VIP parties a much as her co-stars so it's not surprising she makes an extra effort when she does make an appearance on the showbiz social scene.

Talking to the Daily Mail recently, she said: 'I think if you were a Kardashian and it happened every day it might get boring, but it doesn't happen every day for me, as you can tell by my messy, unbrushed hair.'

Alice is currently shooting a number of new projects, including crime comedy The Brits Are Coming, in which she appears opposite Sofia Vergara and Uma Thurman, and action movie Beyond Deceit which stars Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino.

Now in its third year, Breakthrough Brits in partnership with Burberry, is the UK’s leading initiative that identifies, supports and celebrates the most promising newcomers across film, television and games.

This year's 18 talented newcomers were selected by a panel of leading figures in film, television and games including actors Natalie Dormer and James Norton, game writer and narrative designer Rhianna Pratchett, producer Simon Chinn and production designer Eve Stewart.
