Movie crush of the week – Jessica Chastain

Films seen

Hey there. BTW, I was wondering whether you've caught up with Mother India. It's not on your list. If you haven't seen it, please do so. It's worth it. Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:40, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I had seen it when I was probably six or seven, but I don't remember much of it. Guess I need to revisit it now. :) --Krimuk|90 (talk) 13:45, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also do have a look at The Kid, The Gold Rush and The Circus in the meantime. Those three show Charlie Chaplin at his very best. Ssven2 Speak 2 me 14:14, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shout Gladi Gladi

The film article is currently under work in a sandbox. Should be in mainspace in a day or two. Schmidt, Michael Q. 02:01, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. :) --Krimuk|90 (talk) 02:02, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Krimuk. Have you seen Lakshya. It is not a bad movie, but it unfortunately failed at the BO. — Maheshreddy2 talk 11:40, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have seen parts of it on TV, yes, but never the whole thing. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 02:27, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have provided reference for Shahid Kapoor religion, you engaged in an edit war reverting edits. How can you say those are poorly referenced and threatening me for blocking? There are plenty of sources available on that subject. Wiki is open for everybody editing, not only for few fans who want to publish the filtered information what they want. - Varma 06:43, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
No, the reference needs to qualify as a WP:RS. Unless a high-quality source supports your claim, they will be removed. Fyi, Kapoor has never openly spoken about his religious affiliation, so we can't just use a crappy gossip site to state whatever we want.--Krimuk|90 (talk) 06:45, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Movie crush

Even if she's nearing the half-century in her lifespan, Naomi Watts looks like 33-35! Amazing maintenance with her physique, I should say! BTW, how was The Kid? Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:25, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Yes, and in Birdman she played a Broadway débutante, making the character appear like in her 30s. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:57, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
She is gorgeous. The fact that she doesn't use the toxic botox on her face makes her age gracefully, and that's fabulous. Wrinkles are normal; actresses need to embrace them. And Ssven, The Kid was extraordinary. One of the best films made for sure. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 01:41, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting fact there about Watts! It is fabulous indeed! BTW, I knew you would like The Kid. Do watch the other Chaplin films I mentioned to you. (The Gold Rush, The Circus, Modern Times) Ssven2 Speak 2 me 11:41, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Watched Baahubali: The Beginning today at this theatre. A grand, spectacular and excellent film from S. S. Rajamouli! Do try and watch it. It's worth it! Ssven2 Speak 2 me 18:12, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Been meaning to watch it! --Krimuk|90 (talk) 03:35, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
KJo calls it the Ben-Hur of India. You shall decide whether it is an ode to Ben-Hur or just another amateur hyped effort. For me, it is "technical brilliance surpasses insane creativity". Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:32, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Shahid Kapoor

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Shahid Kapoor you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 16:20, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Shahid Kapoor

The article Shahid Kapoor you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Shahid Kapoor for things which need to be addressed. Indian Box Office sources

Hi. Hope you're well. What in your mind are the sources that are considered the "gold standard" in terms of discussing box office figures for Indian films akin to Box Office Mojo for Western films? Box Office India is problematic as it is hidden under paid membership so only archives can be used. Can newspapers be used? Another I've come across is some news sources citing Taran Adarsh for box office figures, is he reliable? Cowlibob (talk) 12:16, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's a tricky question. I try to use Box Office India figures whenever freely available (which they are, when one keeps an hawk's one on them). For instance, I found these figures for all of Varun Dhawan's films. When it's not then I use the ones provided by Bollywood Hungama, which to me is the next viable option. Newspaper figures, which are not attributed to any source, are problematic, as are Koimoi's numbers, because they are generally inflated. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 13:09, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It's sooo much easier with Box Office Mojo. Btw, have you the seen the new trailer for The Revenant? Looks like Emmanuel Lubezki is going to make it a threepeat at the Oscars after Gravity and Birdman. Cowlibob (talk) 13:34, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, agreed. It's a massive pain in the ass. Oooh yes, The Revenant looks amazing. Lubezki will win, and I think Leo has a massive chance to finally grab that Oscar. If he doesn't, people will revolt. Hehe. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 13:37, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jazz Stewart

If you notice some of their additions don't have great english but I think they are trying to learn the website. I've seen a lot of good changes in their edits and they actually are trying to do better. Let's cut them some slack and fix some of the smaller stuff. For the most part I agree that we didn't need all they added but if we revert every one of their additions they will get discouraged and leave. Hopefully they keep learning. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 13:30, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hell in a Bucket I understand that, but additions like this just seem malicious: "Hailing from an affluent family, Kapoor was extremely stubborn and spendthrift. Her family members tolerated her eccentric tantrums whenever she was getting upset and angry. She was spending money recklessly believing that everything was cheap in India compare to U.S Dollar. She was giving Rs 100 tips for consuming a Rs 70 Hamburger. Severly pampered by her father, Kapoor received all the luxuries and comforts of having an expensive car and vacationing in Europe." Don't you think so? --Krimuk|90 (talk) 13:32, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that one I didn't see. I was talking more about the stuff about being a tomboy. I agree that flaunting that would not really enhance the article. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 13:35, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
