Amanda Blackburn (pictured left with her husband Davey Blackburn and son Weston, and right again with Davey), 28, was shot in her Indianapolis home as she tried to defend herself and her one-year-old son, Weston, from a burglar on Tuesday morning. She was pronounced dead on Wednesday. Her husband, Resonate Church pastor Davey Blackburn was at the gym when the incident occurred and came home to find his wife wounded at about 8.30am. The suspect is still on the loose and police are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information. Officers are still investigating the incident and say that her husband is not a suspect in the case.

Charles McKenzie (right with an unknown woman), 67, died after suffering a heart attack in the tub at the Playacar Palace Hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, while his 63-year-old wife, Dorothy (left), drowned moments later. It is unclear how Mrs McKenzie came to be submerged in the water - leading to 'asphyxiation by submersion' with reports claiming she may have been squashed by her dying husband's body. The pair's nude bodies were reportedly discovered on Tuesday morning by their horrified daughter - who was due to walk down the aisle just two days later.

A car that was recovered Tuesday from a Michigan pond with a man's body inside has been visible on Google Maps for years. David Lee Niles (top left), 72, disappeared on October 11, 2006 after he was seen leaving his regular watering hole, Jake's Bar, in Byron Township, Michigan. On Tuesday, a man decorating a tree for the holidays outside of a funeral home, spotted the car (bottom left) in a pond while he was on a lift and called authorities. The car is also visible on Google Maps (right) inside of the murky pond.

A woman was accidentally shot and killed during what police describe as 'freaky sex' inside of a Florida motel Saturday. Tyrone Fields left), 21, was arrested after he accidentally shot and killed Christina Meagher (right), 18, while role-playing during sex on November 7 inside a room at the Microtel Inn & Suites on Church Avenue, according to the Tampa Police Department. Fields told police that he had only known Meagher for a couple of days before their date at the hotel.

Vincent Asaro, 80, was found not guilty today of taking party in a brazen robbery at JFK Airport in 1978 that inspired the award-winning Mafia film Goodfellas. Asaro was accused of waiting in a decoy vehicle as mobsters stole more than $6million from the Lufthansa Cargo building at the airport, before allegedly taking a $500,000 cut. He was also charged with murder over claims he helped strangle Paul Katz, a reputed mob associate and snitch, to death in 1969. However, he has now been cleared of all charges. It's usually pet dogs that jump up and down when their owners return home. But in this cute video, this tiny kitten has shown that cats can be just as enthusiastic. As shown in the footage, the adorable moggie initially appeared to play it cool before it caught sight of its owner. Humorously, the owner was then seen teasing the little thing with their finger, causing the cat to bounce higher and higher. The short clip, which was initially posted on online platform Imgur, has amassed over an incredible 5 million views since Tuesday.

Greg Hardy and his lawyers painted his former girlfriend Nicole Holder as sex crazed and obsessed in a closed-door meeting with NFL executives this past March. Hazel Abel, of Kennewick, Washington, did not know who her kidnappers were during her six-hour ordeal after she was grabbed from her doorstep on November 2. Police have told her it was Dylan Martin, her 16-year-old great-grandson and two of his friends who threw dirt in face before forcing her into the trunk. They allegedly tied her hands with a ribbon, and used one of her aprons to cover her head before shoved her - and her dog Tessa - into the trunk and drove to the Portland area. Now, Abel has spoken out to say she doesn't know if she will ever be able to forgive the boy. 'I don't know how he could that to me,' she tearfully said. 'This is family.' She added: 'I had told Dylan that I love him and things but I guess that doesn't matter.'

Betsy Drake, an actress who was Cary Grant's third wife and survived the sinking of the ocean liner Andrea Doria, has died at 92. Drake died in London on October 27, her cousin Perry Howze confirmed on Thursday. She was the longest-lasting of Grant's five wives, after meeting on a different ocean liner, and starring in two films together - and she also introduced the actor to LSD. The actress was returning home aboard the Queen Mary following an appearance in 'Deep Are the Roots' on the London stage when she caught his eye. Soon after, he arranged a screen test, and they were cast together in her first film role in 1948. In 'Every Girl Should Be Married', Drake played a young woman trying to trap the debonair Grant into marriage (pictured in the film, top left). She became his third wife a year later, but divorced in 1962.

Allen Thomas, now 68 (left), had twins James and Sandra (inset and right) with girlfriend Sun-Kim while serving in Korea in 1966, but was forced to leave them behind when he returned to America. Thomas last saw the pair during a leave of absence in 1971 while deployed in Vietnam, before they were adopted without his knowledge. He had been searching for them for four decades before a Facebook post he made was shared 1.2million times, and attracted the attention of ABC's 20/20 team, who were able to reunite the family.

A funeral (left) was held on Wednesday in Powell, for Michael (pictured), a 9-year-old military dog turned service dog for Sgt. Matthew Bessler (pictured). Mike was tragically shot by a bicyclist on October 10. Mike later became Bessler's service animal after the two were discharged and helped Bessler deal with injuries from his military service.'He was dedicated not only to his job in the military, but as my service animal,' Bessler said.
