The nanny accused of having a long-running affair with Gwen Stefani's husband Gavin Rossdale is 'a bit wild', according to a long-time neighbour of her family home in Australia.

Mindy Mann's family, who live on Queensland's Gold Coast, declined to answer questions about the scandal that allegedly led to the bust-up of Gwen and Gavin's marriage when visited by Daily Mail Australia on Thursday.

But one neighbour revealed the family would throw big parties when Mindy returned from her nanny duties overseas to the home in Tallebudgera.

'I know she has been back [home] a few times – they did have parties when the oldest daughter has had her children,' she added.

'When the recycle bin collection comes to their place it sounds like it's a club.'

Mindy and Gavin's three-year tryst was reportedly uncovered when explicit images were found on the iPad of one of the couple's three sons by another of their minders.

A clearly agitated Phillip Mann, Mindy's father, was in no mood to discuss the matter on Thursday and delivered a tirade of expletives when approached at their home, which is currently being renovated.

'If you want to talk to her go to America,' he also told reporters.

A short time after he was heard joking with one of the workmen on his property: 'If you don't get on with it I'll tell them you are Mindy's boyfriend.'

Mindy's mother Jennifer also refused to elaborate on the claims against her daughter.

'We're not saying anything,' she told the Daily Mail Australia.

The neighbour also revealed that after years of confrontation with the Mann family, she is moving house.

Mindy - whose real name is Melinda - has two sisters, the eldest is Carly who is living at the family home on the Gold Coast and the youngest, Nicki, is also a nanny who works in New Zealand.

'I know she went over the America to join her sister but something happened and she came straight back four or five years ago,' the woman added.

Mindy's brother-in-law was asked whether she had spoken with family members since the story broke.

'I'm not making any comment about that,' he said. 'We just want to get on with our lives.'

Daily Mail can also reveal that Mindy once ran a children's clothing label out of Los Angeles called 'Pintsize'.

She wrote on Facebook in 2010: 'New line very much in action.... Hopefully it will launch in aus by winter.... Keep ur eyes out mummies very cute clothes.'

The clothes and shoes were designed for boys, and included fake leather jackets, t-shirts with ties and suspenders painted on, and denim jeans with 'pretty boy swag' printed on the back.

A source told Access Hollywood that Gavin, 50, abandoned Gwen, 46, after the arrival of their third son, Apollo, in February last year to hook-up with 20-something Mindy.

The Bush frontman initially denied having the affair with the woman who minded their three sons - Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 20 months.

He is said to have initially brushed the allegations off as 'flirtation', before allegedly confessing to adultery months later, the magazine reports.

It 'completely devastated her,' a source told Us Weekly. 'She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed.'

The insider also alleged that Gavin would bring his three kids to see him while he was on the road, and that the duo would have sex on the tour bus after the children fell asleep.

According to the publication, the singer confronted her husband about his affair on February 9 this year.

When he confessed, she knew their marriage was over.

For Gwen, it was apparently not just the affair that broke her, but also the fact her husband had been having it with a woman she knew and trusted, who looked after their children.

The Australian nanny was fired as soon as the singer had confronted her husband.

Daily Mail Online contacted reps for Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani seeking comment when news of the affair broke.
