'Fight and conquer': Avril Lavigne looks in good spirits while 'overcoming' Lyme disease as she updates fans on treatments

She revealed her battle with Lyme disease earlier this year.

And it seems like Avril Lavigne's health has been much improved in recently.

The 31-year-old singer has been keeping fans updated on her treatments and there was definitely a feeling of positivity regarding her latest Instagram posts.

She posted two pictures from a doctor visit on Tuesday including one of her being treated while laying on a medical cot an another of her posing on the same piece a furniture with a huge smile on her face.

For the image posted to her 2.2million followers of her having her arm checked out by a physician, she had a lengthy caption which read: 'Overcoming Lyme Disease.

'Feels good to have my Dr. smile and tell me how much progress I am making. I'm coming out on the other side batches!!! #Fighter #F***LymeDisease.'

In the follow up post, Avril is smiling from ear-to-ear as she shows off a small bandaid on her arm as she captioned the cute photo: 'FIGHT and CONQUER !!!!!!!!! #F***LymeDisease.'

The Complicated singer went public with her Lyme disease diagnosis in April, after keeping quiet about it for five months.

She was diagnosed with a severe case of Lyme disease, and at one point, thought she was dying. She revealed that during recovery, there were times when she couldn't breathe, talk or move.

Avril is currently finishing up a five-week campaign to raise money for children and young adults who suffer from Lyme disease.

The When You're Gone hitmaker did so through her foundation, which she created after she was diagnosed with having Lyme Disease in 2014.

The pop star is working with Prizeo, a digital fundraising platform, to raise money for the Avril Lavigne Foundation.

One lucky fan who donates to her foundation could win a speaking role in her new film Charming.

This year has been full of ups and downs for Avril, who split in early September from her husband, 40-year-old singer Chad Kroeger. The couple were married for only two years before their separation.

She announced the news on her Instagram account, revealing that although their marriage was over, the two still cared for each other.
