He was accompanied by a group of performer pals, including a mime and a women in a black lace jumpsuit with a rainbow hula hoop, as he took off down the street.

However, it appears his character wasn't fast enough, and the star - who added a colorful jacket - was soon swarmed by French cops.

The North Carolina-born actor was later seen looking more relaxed as he took a cute turtle for a walk.

The Birdman star shocked onlookers when he revealed his dramatic weight loss last year at the film's premiere.

The hilarious actor, who appeared to have lost around 40 pounds, told WGN he gave up alcohol and started going for long walks to get healthy.

'I started walking a bunch and gave up booze,' he said. 'Booze, I was done with it. I couldn't wake up [like usual], so I stopped. I'm lucky that I could just stop, but boy I miss it.'

And he joked: 'Being light is fun. I can go up two flights of steps now, and only need my inhaler twice.'

Zach is also set to voice the role of The Joker in The Lego Movie spin-off The Lego Batman Movie, which will also star Mariah Carey, Ralph Fiennes and Michael Cera.
