He hasn't played CIA agent Jason Bourne for almost a decade.

But Matt Damon, 45, looked like he'd settled back into the role with ease as he was spotted filming dramatic scenes for the fifth Bourne film in central London on Monday.

Obviously having no problems taking on the mantle of the eponymous hero of the thrilling espionage thrillers, Matt looked to have found it easy slipping back into character.

Back to work: Matt Damon, 45, looked like he'd settled back into the role with ease as he was spotted filming dramatic scenes for the fifth Bourne film in central London on Monday

Sporting a bleeding head wound, Matt had fake blood all over his face and dripping down onto his jacket.

He was accompanied by another bloodied actor, who can only be presumed to be his enemy, although the two weren't pictured fighting.

Clad in wardrobe that he has sported during previous shoots in London for the film, the actor wore a brown leather jacket and dark shirt, with jeans and brown boots.
