With no sign of a reconciliation in sight between Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Sunday night's KUWTK premiere gave a glimpse into how the split has affected their three children.

During a conversation with matriarch Kris Jenner, Kourtney's sister Kim recalled a moment when the couple's five-year-old son Mason asked about his dad.

Kim repeated Mason's heartbreaking words: 'Is [my dad] ever coming home? Is he gone for the whole wide world?'

Missing dad: In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians it was revealed that Mason, five asked if his dad Scott Disick (pictured) was coming home. The duo are pictured in September

The young lad's question came while Kim, 35 , was babysitting Kourtney, 36, and Scott's three children including three-year-old Penelope and 11-month-old Reign.

Kourtney and Scott, 32, split in July after his hard-partying took a toll on the relationship and he was spotted getting close to LA stylist Chloe Bartoli.

The father-of-three just got out of rehab after 28 days earlier this week and was seen strolling a shopping mall in Calbasas on Monday.

He donned an LA Dodgers baseball cap with a hoodie and grey jeans as he was seen chatting with a friend.

The self-proclaimed 'Lord' looked in a somber mood as he strolled with one hand in his pocket.

During another scene in Sunday's episode, Kris encouraged Kourtney to move on: 'You have the weight of the world on your shoulders, because you're like a single mom. You know what I mean? But it's the single mom waiting for her partner to come home,

'And you don't need to wait for him to come home anymore. It's just time to move on and to find your happiness. You need somebody really special in your life.'

The 36-year-old beauty was filmed regaining her confidence by posing for a naked photoshoot while Scott is shown indulging in a spot of self-flagellation.

It began after Khloe tells him: 'You say, "I don't have a family" and then we give you one. Why do you destroy it?'

The 32-year-old star responds: 'I made the worst decision I could have ever made in my life.

However, all does not appear to be lost as after he tells Kris he never thought things would turn out like this she tells him in a cliffhanger ending: 'Guess what, you can make it better.'
