'You do not understand what being a woman is about': Rose McGowan slams Caitlyn Jenner for acceptance speech at Glamour awards

Outspoken Rose McGowan is known for using social media as a platform to voice her opinions, and this time she has taken aim at Caitlyn Jenner.

The 42-year-old Charmed actress slammed Jenner for her Glamour Women Of The Year Awards acceptance speech on Monday.

McGowan penned an open letter on Facebook - which has since been deleted - after the transgender reality star joked that the 'hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear'.

'Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight,' she added. 'Not by a long f***ing shot.'

The former flame of Marilyn Manson wrote: 'Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us - well learn us.

'We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you.'

McGowan also posted several memes that featured Jenner's quote with images of women being sexually abused, being followed home late at night and a woman in the hospital after giving birth.

One particularly disconcerting image was O.J. Simpson's late wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, covered in bruises, who Jenner's ex-wife, Kris was best friends with.

No laughing matter apparently: The 'hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear,' Caitlyn joked which sent McGowan into a tizzy and she immediately took to Facebook to write scathing remarks, which have since been deleted

'You’re a woman now?' Rose continued. 'Well f***ing learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege.'

This is not the first time the raven-haired actress has gotten fired up on a social media frenzy as just a few days earlier her target was aimed at Kate Winslet.

McGowan took to Twitter last Thursday and slammed the Titanic star for sharing her opinion that openly discussing the gender gap between pay wages made her feel uncomfortable.

'I don’t think that’s a very nice conversation to have publicly at all,' Winslet told BBC Newsbeat. 'I’m quite surprised by these conversations to be honest, simply because it seems quite a strange thing to be discussing out in the open like that.'

'I am a very lucky woman and I’m quite happy with how things are ticking along.'

McGowan posted the article on her social media account alongside the caption: 'Are you kidding me? Kate Winslet Says Hollywood’s Pay Gap Not "A Very Nice Conversation" to Have Publicly.'

Additionally, last June, McGowan slammed Hollywood A-lister Adam Sandler after she received a casting call with specific notes which she claimed were 'sexist'.

'Casting note that came w/script I got today. For real. name of male star rhymes with Madam Panhandler hahahaha I die,' Rose posted along with a photo of the casting call.

McGowan later tweeted that her 'wussy acting agent' had fired her, but she has since found new representation.
