She usually wears her hair in a striking bob style, but today Princess Charlene of Monaco certainly turned heads as she showed off her new do'

The 37-year-old royal was sporting a blonde pixie-crop as she arrived at the Monaco Red Cross to hand out parcels.  

The choppy haircut highlighted the princess's delicate features as she and her husband Prince Albert II of Monaco greeted those who are helped by the organisation.

The mother-of-two choose to wear a sombre black coat with wide lapels for her appearance, just days after the attacks in Paris in which 129 people were killed.

France and Monaco have an extremely close relationship, with Monaco only gaining sovereignty from the country in 1419.

Wearing a wrap-around black jumper dress from Ralph Lauren Black Label and natural makeup, Princess Charlene let her new crop do the talking.

Although the former Olympic swimmer has often been spotted favouring shorter haircuts, her latest look marks one of her most daring styles in recent years.

The royal accessorised with a strand of pearls, a silver necklace and a pair of sunglasses.

Wearing a dress fit for royalty, Princess Charlene of Monaco donned a frock by Ralph Lauren to hand out packages to those in need.

The simple sweater dress had a surplice neckline and was adorned with two leather buckles at the waistline. The blonde beauty teamed it with a pair of classic pumps and kept her legs covered with dark hosiery.

She debuted her new look on Saturday, and was also seen with the choppy style yesterday while she attended the one minute's silence undertaken yesterday at the palace.

Albert, Charlene of Monaco, Princess Caroline of Hanover and her daughter, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, and members of the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco observed a moment of silence in the inner courtyard at the Palais Princier in memory of the victims.

On Saturday, the prince sent a message of support to the President of France, Mr François Hollande, and to the people of France.

The royal wore a fashion-forward one-shoulder jumpsuit with a large bow at the neck, in contrast with husband Prince Albert's signature white dinner jacket with black dress trousers.

The pair hosted celebrities, aristocrats and magnates including Dame Shirley Bassey and Victoria Silvstedt at the annual event, held at the grand Salle des Étoiles in Monte Carlo.
