Lindsey Vonn is speaking out about her split from Tiger Woods last spring, saying that the relationship failed in part because she rushed into it after her divorce.
The 31-year-old Olympic skier, who divorced her husband Thomas Vonn in January 2013, said she was inexperienced in love when she got together with Tiger just a few months after her split.
'Thomas was really my first boyfriend, so I didn’t have a lot of dating experience. So jumping into a relationship right away after getting a divorce was probably not the smartest move on my part,' Lindsey told the New York Times.

Lindsey, who split from Tiger, 39, in May amid claims that he had cheated on her, went on to share: 'I don’t regret anything. I loved Tiger, and I had an amazing three years with him.
'But it was a learning experience as well. With every relationship, you learn what you need and what you want in a partner.'
The athlete, who has now recovered from her knee injury and is set to compete in the World Cup in Aspen, Colorado on November 28, got married to former Olympic skier Thomas in 2007, when she was only 22.
She began dating Tiger a few months after her divorced was finalized, and the pair's relationship instantly gained headlines because of their athlete statuses and his Lothario past.
The golf champion notoriously cheated on his wife, Elin Nordegren, with a slew of women in 2009.
Happier times: Tiger often supported Lindsey at her ski races, and she was frequently seen at his golf tournaments after they became official in March 2013

Lindsey has continued to remain mum about rumors of Tiger's infidelity in their relationship, but she insists that she feels hopeful about the future, although she's not dating anyone at the moment.
'I don’t have a boyfriend, and you need one of those to start a family,' she said. 'I really want a family; I come from a big family. But I’m not going to force anything.
'I have a limited window to accomplish my ski-racing dreams, so I don’t want to give that up for really anything.'
Lindsey, who has undergone multiple knee surgeries after tearing her ACL, went on to say that being single might be good for her professional career.
'I was alone this summer for the first time in a long time. And it was good for me to be on my own. I worked really hard in the gym and remembered that I'm the one making my decisions, and I'm strong enough to do that,' she shared.
Single status: Lindsey confirms she's not dating anyone in the wake of her split from Tiger, and says that being single may be good for her right now
Before their split: Tiger supported Lindsey at the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships women's giant slalom on February 12, 2015 in Beaver Creek, Colorado
'Sometimes I get reliant on other people. I had time to focus on myself. Even if it was a hard summer,' added Lindsey.
The skier, who has a won a record 67 World Cup races, further revealed that her family asked her to stop racing after her knee injury.
'After my second knee surgery, pretty much everyone in my family said: "Lindsey, don’t you want to walk when you’re older?" And I said: "Don’t worry, there’s going to be some new medical procedure and I’ll have new knees and it’ll be no problem." It never crossed my mind to retire.'
In 2018, Lindsey plans to go for her second gold medal at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Last week, she told Health magazine of her split from Tiger: 'I think it's just given me more time to spend on myself. That's what happens with most break-ups.'
