Divorce time! Sarah Jessica Parker goes from uptown chic to downtown street on-set of new HBO comedy
Sarah Jessica Parker returned to her HBO roots on the set of her new show, Divorce. She's both the star and executive producer.
The actress, 50, was filming scenes for her new comedy series in New York on Monday. Sarah plays Frances, a woman who throws around the idea of divorce with her husband yet doesn't know if she can do it. He ultimately gives it the green light when he discovers her affair.
The show also co-stars Thomas Haden Church, 55, who plays her husband and Molly Shannon, 51, who plays her single friend.

The Ohio native wore a navy dress complete with red and white printed detailing on the set on Monday.
To combat the cool temperature, the Divorce star chose grey stockings and a classic, dusty rose-colored coat.
She finished off her look with a sleek, black messenger bag and simple pumps.
Though Sarah plays a married woman going through a breakup, in real life, she's been married to husband Matthew Broderick, 53, since 1997. The couple have three children, son James, 13 and twins Marion and Tabitha, six.

On-screen husband Thomas looked very much the country boy that he is, having been raised in Texas.
The Divorce actor wore a green and blue flannel shirt, layered over a faded Navy color long-sleeved top. He completed his Western look with a pair of jeans tucked into Western-inspired cowboy boots.

The comedy, centered around a couple who endures a long divorce, also features Molly Shannon.
The Hotel Transylvania actress went for a a traditional winter-weather ensemble with her red flannel shirt and grey skinny jeans tucked into black and brown riding boots.
Thomas transitioned from Western cowboy to mountain man in his rolled up, dark-wash denim jeans, a black and white button-up layered over a blue long sleeve shirt and a hunter green vest.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Divorce is a single-camera comedy featuring Sarah as Frances, a woman going through a divorce with Robert (played by Thomas) after chatting with a few of her single friends, one of whom is Molly.
Three's a crowd: The comedy is centered around a couple who endures a long divorce. Molly stars as an influential single friend to Sarah's character, Frances, who's ultimately inspired to divorce her husband, plaed by Thomas.
It's set for release sometime this year.
Next up for Sarah is the February release of her romantic comedy, All Roads Lead to Home.
The actress plays the role of single mother Maggie, who in a desperate attempt to get closer with her teen daughter, takes her on a trip to Italy to a place she used to frequent. While there, she reconnects with a former flame.
The movie is filming in Italy and co-stars Paz Vega, Raoul Bova and Rosie Day.
Variety reports that Momentum Pictures has acquired the North American rights to the film.
