They're both making their mark on Hollywood, with talent clearly running in the Hemsworth family.

And this week genetically blessed brothers Liam and Chris Hemsworth have gone head-to-head as they beef up promotion for their respective films.

While Liam, 25, was seen arriving at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios in Hollywood on Monday for an appearance for the final Hunger Games film Mockingjay - Part 2, posters for Chris' film The Huntsman have dropped.

Liam cut a casual and stylish figure as he made his way into the venue, wearing dark jeans, a white t-shirt and a matching black parka jacket.

He teamed his look with a blue pair of canvas shoes and and dark sunglasses, looking ever the movie star.

Giving a wave, he grinned ahead of his interview and showed off his unshaven look.

Liam's new film, the final of the Hunger Games series, is released this week.

The former Neighbours star appears in the movies as Gale Hawthorne opposite stars Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson.

The blockbusters revolve around Jennifer's character Katniss Everdeen, who leads the people of Panem against the totalitarian leader President Snow.

Chris meanwhile, who is know for films including Thor, is celebrating the release of the posters for next year's The Huntsman: Winter's War.

It is a spinoff of the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsman that he starred in, playing the huntsman who goes after the beauty on behalf of the queen.

In the poster, he poses with two axes and is clad in a brown shirt with leather pants and armour.

The upcoming release is expected in April and stars the likes of Charlize Theron as the evil Queen Ravenna, and newcomers Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain.

Chris and Liam also share another sibling, brother Luke.
