Woman, 25, arrested after pelting eggs and tomatoes on stage at Kendall and Kylie Jenner's clothing launch event in suburban Sydney

A 25-year-old woman has reportedly been arrested after throwing eggs and tomatoes on a stage where Kendall and Kylie Jenner were promoting their exclusive new clothing range in suburban Sydney, on Tuesday.

Police told Daily Mail Australia that the woman, from Punchbowl in New South Wales, was situated on the floor above the stage in the shopping centre when she took aim at the reality star sisters.

She hurled multiple eggs and tomatoes before officers swooped in and marched her off to Parramatta police station where she was detained before being charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer in execution of duty.

She was also charged behaving in an offensive manner in a public place. The woman has since been granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta local court on 14 December.

The two sisters called into Parramatta shopping complex Westfield for the special event, hours after jetting into the city from their native Los Angeles.

But while hundreds of adoring fans were on hand to welcome the American stars, a small faction of those in attendance prompted action from lingering security guards and then police after tossing eggs at the stage.

The incident led to umbrellas being strategically placed around the stage and a curtain raised as precautionary measures.

'There were like three guys and one girl,' a fan told Daily Mail Australia following the event. 'They threw two or three eggs.'

The egging led to the special event being delayed by 45 minutes while assistants hastily erected a protective roof.

Security guards removed the offenders, who were stationed on one of the venue's upper levels, from the sprawling complex before the sisters emerged to rapturous applause.

The woman was then detained by police.

'They went up and down the escalators and it looked like there were three of them from there,' another fan told Fairfax media.

Kardashian security guard Pascal Duvier was later seen chatting to one of the thirty police officers on hand to provide security at the event.

Despite the mayhem, Kendall and Kylie were in high spirits as they chatted to Australian E! presenter Ksenija Lukich about the new Kendall + Kylie Collection - exclusively available at retail chain Forever New.

The sisters looked fresh and vibrant - hours after flying to Sydney from their Los Angeles home for the promotional event.

At one point burly Pascal stood close by, an umbrella clutched in one hand - but fortunately no further eggs were thrown.

A police spokeswoman told DMA: 'A woman who is 25 was arrested after eggs and tomatoes were thrown  during a product launch at around 4.30pm.

Kendall and Kylie have been living it up in Sydney since their arrival and as well as their public appearance they've been making the most of the city's offerings.

As well as dining at Regatta Rose Bay restaurant, the pair, along with Kylie's boyfriend Tyga were also seen enjoying a boat ride in Sydney's Harbour.
