Ex-girlfriend Lauren Hutton was the first one to dig into Spencer Matthews for his I'm A Celeb exit on Friday after just three days.

But as she poked fun at him on Twitter, the Made In Chelsea star's protective best pal leaped to his defense, launching a Twitter tirade against the former reality star.

There was no love lost for Spencer, who quit the show for health concerns on Friday, by Lauren, who he is said to have unceremoniously dumped amid cheating claims.

Not at all bitter about the split, Lauren wrote: 'Well that lasted long... Even your relationships last longer (just). I think I'd make a better contestant...'

She used an emoji of a dog to cryptically link her scathing tweet to her ex-boyfriend and the news that he was heading home from Australia prematurely.

Later, Jamie was straight on her tail saying: 'F*** off you leaching random' by replying directly to her tweet, in full view of their combined 1M followers.

Awkward: When she sarcastically returned her love, he launched the final blow, hinting at how her relationship with Spencer ended

She replied: 'Classy as always, love (emoji) to u & love (emoji) to Spencer (emoji)' before he referenced their split when he bit back 'The only thing you're class at is being dumped.'

Spencer, who's notorious for being unable to stay faithful to girlfriends, is said to have split up with Lauren after he went 'back to his old ways.'

She refused to acknowledge their split and claimed that they were still together until his representatives insisted that he was indeed single.

Meanwhile, Jamie and Spencer lay claim to one of the strongest bromances on the E4 reality show, who, despite their spats and girl problems, have always been in each other's corner.

Jamie went on to say on social media: 'I couldn't be more proud of @SpencerMatthews my pug. See you soon brother.'

The reality TV star would no doubt be welcoming his 'bro' back with open arms and a pat on the back when he gets back to the UK.

The 26-year-old hunk unfortunately failed to reach the main camp to meet all his superstar campmates, after he was banished to Snake Rock in the days before he left the show.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline: 'Spencer Matthews has left the jungle. We're sorry to see him leave.'

A show source revealed: 'He has left the jungle on medical grounds. He was a great booking and was shaping up to be a great character. We are sorry to see him go.'

MailOnline have contacted Spencer's representatives for comment.

Spencer, who belatedly entered the jungle alongside TOWIE star Ferne McCann and Geordie Shore stunner Vicky Pattison, appeared to be having a fantastic time upon arriving.

On Thursday night's episode the hunk threw himself into his first task alongside his two reality comrades after which he was quick to whip off his top and flaunt his abs.

And aside from that, Spencer seemed to have a blossoming romance in the form of Geordie beauty Vicky despite the fact she initially believed he would be a 'posh t****r'.

Their fellow late arrival, Ferne seems to be playing cupid in the camp as she predicted romance between the northern lass and her London-based counterpart.

Sparks seemed to fly between Spencer and Vicky as they playfully chatted and joked - leading to the prediction from their TOWIE team mate.

Heading to the Bush Telegraph to chat about her new digs, Ferne said: 'Vicky and Spencer are cool... I think they might fancy each other. Just an observation!'
