Being married to twins, their husbands are so close they are mostly inseparable.

But Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie were firm friends long before they got together with their respective spouses Benji and Joel Madden.

The two women were seen out enjoying a spot of shopping on Thursday in Los Angeles.

The former Simple Life star appeared to be in good spirits and laughed and joked with her sister-in-law through marriage.

So it seemed unlikely they were discussing any of the recent reports which have suggested she and her spouse may be having marital issues.

Nicole and Joel have insisted they are happy as ever following nearly five years of marriage and two children Harlow, seven, and Sparrow, six, together.

Meanwhile, Cameron wore her blonde tresses in a messy style, her locks cascading around her shoulders.
