Jennifer Garner gave a nod to France on Friday.

The 42-year-old movie star wore her hair in tight French braids, a very different look for the estranged wife of Ben Affleck, who normally favors loose ponytails.

The doting mother also took her youngest child, Samuel, to French restaurant Le Pain Quotidien Bakery in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
