Stepping out in a form fitted black midi dress and pointed heels, the 29-year-old did well to make Kimmel blush when she surprised him with a kiss at the request of her husband Johnny Depp.

Sitting down for a chat with the popular talk show host, Amber was preened to perfection as she wore her tresses down in loose waves and kept her make-up simple.

Cutting Kimmel off during the interview, Heard revealed she had a special message to deliver.

She said as she remembered her husband's request: 'Oh! I have a message for you, sorry I didn't wanna interrupt but this is important.'

Amber Heard made a glamorous appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show when she arrived in a Roland Mouret dress and snake print pumps.

Heard then got up from her seat and planted a kiss on Jimmy at which point he erupted into laughter as the crowd cheered.

Flattered, Kimmel quipped: 'I didn't quite get that', he continued, 'A message from your husband Johnny Depp, who I've kissed a few times.'

To which Amber replied: 'Yeah I've noticed.'

Amber's appearance comes as part of promotion for her latest film, The Danish Girl in which she appears with Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander.

The motion picture is about transgender pioneer Lili Elbe and is out in cinemas in the United States on November 27.

Heard also has another movie in the can, the crime mystery London Fields in which she co-stars with Cara Delvingne and Jaime Alexander.
