Denise showed off her trim figure in black trousers and a white vest for her walk, flashing a smile as she strolled, before she sat on the sand to make a quick phone call.

The star shares two children - Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, with her ex husband, with TMZ reporting this week that Charlie did not tell his four younger children, who also include his his six-year-old twins with Brooke Mueller, Bob and Max, that he is HIV-positive before the interview.

Denise had previously stated that she and Charlie, who married in 2002, have had no sexual contact since they split in 2005, and it has been reported that she and her children are free of the virus.

The actor said during his bombshell interview with Matt Lauer on Tuesday that he learned he had the virus 'roughly four years ago' and was always honest about his status with his sexual partners.

'I'm here to admit that I am in fact HIV-positive,' he said. 'It's a hard three letters to absorb. It's a turning point in one's life.'

Days before the interview, Denise appeared on the podcastAllegedly With Theo Von And Matthew Cole Weiss, and said she will 'always' be there for her ex.

'[It's] up and down,' she said of their relationship. 'I'm always here [for him,] but he's an addict. I believe we move past your s**t. Don't sweat the small stuff. For better or worse, he's going to be in my life for the rest of my life so I personally like to keep the peace.

'Charlie, when I married him, he wasn't a bad boy. He was sober for almost four years. He was a very different person. His lifestyle was very, very different. He was a former bad boy, I guess. I have a lot of empathy for anyone that struggles with addiction.

'I'm not going to judge the choices they made under the influence. I can only judge the person I'm meeting and I think sometimes past experiences make who you are so I just went off the person I had met and gotten to know and fell in love with. He was very different.'
