He bought her a Ferrari, gave her a starring role in his music video and even had her name tattooed on his arm.

And while an unknown 'something' Tyga did has apparently ended the rapper's romance with Kylie Jenner, he will forever be her first love.

Here, we look back at the highs and lows of their relationship - from their chaste first meeting when she was just 14 to the controversial romance chronicled on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Being best friends with the creative director of Balmain sure does have its perks, as Kylie Jenner proved when she took to Instagram to thank Olivier Rousteing for her 'beautiful dress.'

Well, we suppose they were all out to celebrate Olivier's birthday so he couldn't have his guests turning up in anything other than Balmain now could he!

Kim, Kylie, Kourtney and a whole host of other A-listers rocked up to celebrate with the designer, showing that the #BalmainArmy is as strong as ever.

This dress that Kylie was so grateful for is from the recent Pre-Spring/Summer'16 collection and features a stunning cut-out crochet material. Olivier continued this luxe spin on crochet throughout his main collection too, proving that the material can have a chic and sexy look to it.

Back in 2011 Tyga was the entertainer hired to perform at Kylie's big sister Kendall's Sweet 16th birthday party.

The rapper had just released his second studio album and was only just starting to receive wider attention.

Fresh-faced and just 14-years-old, Kylie was seen shyly flirting with him on an episode of her family's reality show.

But back then Tyga was embarking on a romance with Blac Chyna, who he began dating in November that year, with the two welcoming their son, King Cairo Stevenson, in October 2012.

Indeed despite their early meeting, it wasn't until July of last year that Tyga began to feature on Kylie's Instagram feed - a month before he ended things with Chyna, who by then was his fiancé .

The two began hanging out, albeit always with a larger group of friends at first.

But rumours about the nature of their relationship began to swirl, and by September 2014 Tyga was forced to deny that he and Kylie were anything other than just good friends.

'Don't believe the rumors, been friends with the family forever. We're all just friends,' he tweeted.

The very next month Kylie started to appear on Tyga's Instagram feed, with the rapper writing: 'Surround yourself with good people. Good hearts, Good souls #LastKings.'

Kris Jenner, perhaps aware of her daughter's tender age - was quick to deny that the two were romantic.

'Kylie isn't dating anybody,' she told Ryan Seacrest in October. '[Tyga is part of] this whole little group of kids who have been around forever – and I call them kids because relatively speaking, they kind of all travel as a pack and they enjoy each other’s company.'

Yet despite this come Halloween the pair chose matching costumes, with Tyga as Chucky and the reality starlet as his bride.

By Thanksgiving they were volunteering together - serving food to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission.

Kylie even shared a snap of her 'friend' on Instagram, writing simply 'Happy Thanksgiving' as she apparently spent the holiday with him.

However in December an obviously annoyed Kylie tweeted: 'I'm not trying to become a rapper, I'm not getting married, & I'm not pregnant....'

At Christmas it was time for more charity work, with the two handing out toys and gifts to patients at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

By the Grammys in February of this year they were partying together.

But it was a few days later when their relationship really hit the headlines - all thanks to Blac Chyna's best friend Amber Rose.

Furious at what she saw as Tyga's decision to spurn her BFF, Amber went onto Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club the day before Valentine's Day and told them: 'Tyga should be ashamed of himself.

'For sure. He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old who just turned 17.'

In response Kylie's defensive big sister Khloe Kardashian lashed out with rather more measured words, writing: '3 sides to EVERY story.

'His, hers and the truth. I'm not passing judgment but I wish others would do the same until they have FACTS.'

Tyga then spoke out, publicly denying he was dating Kylie, or that he left his fiancé and son to be with her.

But despite his words, just three days later on February 20 he posted a sweet shot of Kylie smiling into the camera, and writing: 'Your beauty never goes unnoticed. One of the best/dopest person in my life.'

By the end of the month the two were spotted on a cinema date - to watch Fifty Shades Of Grey.

And the next month saw Kylie playing groupie as she watched Tyga's concert, along with Khloe and her sister's then-boyfriend French Montana.

On March 13 it seemed Tyga was ready to go public with Kylie, as he posted a snap writing: 'Certain things catch your eye, but only few capture the heart.'

And in April any doubters were surely convinced that the two were a couple - when Tyga unveiled a new 'Kylie' tattoo on his right arm.

Obviously angry, Chyna responded by sharing publicly some of Tyga's recent text messages, in which he appeared to try to win her back.

But it didn't seem to have any affect on Kylie and Tyga's budding romance - with the two frequently pictured together over the summer.

By August, which marked Kylie's 18th birthday, they had given up all pretense of being anything other than committed.

And what better way to crown his new Queen, than with a Ferrari 458 convertible, which Tyga presented to Kylie at her birthday bash.

Days after they returned to the U.S. they were off again, this time joining Kylie's family for a vacation in St Barts.

By September Tyga set tongues wagging by calling Kylie his fiancé.

And in October Tyga released a music video for his new track Dope'd Up, featuring him and Kylie in a Halloween-inspired adventure.

But while the two seemed devoted, there was some sign of discontent. Indeed Tyga had complained of Kylie's preoccupation with her mobile phone.

Then on Tyga's 26th birthday on November 19 there was a distinct lack of celebration from social media lover Kylie, who did not make any mention of her boyfriend online.

The next day it emerged that the teenager had dumped her older rapper boyfriend on his birthday, with TMZ reporting that it was over 'something Tyga did.'

She made the decision after returning to Los Angeles following a promotional trip to Australia with her sister Kendall.

The site's source described the separation as 'nasty' but didn't reveal details, only adding that Kylie's family were putting 'pressure' on her to end it.

Kylie only recently explained her approach to romance in a post on her website titled 'What I really think about relationships.'

'I've never believed in the idea of the public knowing everything about my relationship and every time I break up and make up,' she wrote, perhaps giving an insight into her current silence.

And Kylie added: 'I'm not afraid to show who I'm dating, but I'm also not about to talk about every little detail of my relationship.'
