Former Charmed star Rose even posted a black and white video clip of hair stylist Adrian Arredondo shearing her with electric clippers as she sat calmly covered in a barber's cloak.

Reaction to the change has been largely positive from Rose's followers. One posted 'I stand totally enthralled', another wrote 'You look beautiful'  while others simply said 'Love'.

Rose captioned the first in her series of posts: 'I don't want it anymore #rebelyell #everythingisart starring @hairbyadrian', followed by 'The alien has landed' and 'No hair don't care. Honestly, it's liberating.'

Before her makeover was complete, she played the part of barber and shaved Adrian's hair.

Rose sported a striking fringe with the rest of her head shaved, before finally saying goodbye to the rest of her hair.

Not one to shy away from making a controversial statement, Rose has recently hit headlines for criticising Caitlyn Jenner.

Rose, who formerly dated shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, penned an open letter on Facebook - which has since been deleted - after the transgender reality star joked that the 'hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear'.

'Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight,' she added. 'Not by a long f***ing shot.'

The former flame of Marilyn Manson wrote: 'Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us - well learn us.

'We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you.'

'You’re a woman now?' Rose continued. 'Well f***ing learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege.'
