Teen sensation Williams called into Wales squad after injury to trio

Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams has been called into the Wales squad for the first time at the tender age of 17.

The 5ft 5in star has earned rave reviews since breaking into the Eagles' first-team this month and could feature when Wales play Switzerland at home on Friday before travelling to Bulgaria next Tuesday.

Williams, who can play out wide or in central midfield, has been called up alongside Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga to replace the injured trio of James Collins, Danny Collins and Joe Ledley.

Gary Speed's side cannot qualify from Group G but will look to build on their impressive win over Montenegro and narrow loss to England last month.
