Always in motion is the future! Star Wars The Force Awakens sells $50million in advance tickets sales one month before its release 

$50million is not a bad box office tally... but it is most impressive when the film hasn't even nearly been released yet.

The Force Awakens has recouped more than a quarter of it's $200million budget an entire month before anyone has even seen it.

Latest figures from Fandango reveal that the latest Star Wars film has become the biggest pre-seller in the company's history, topping the first Hunger Games.

Most cinemas have dedicated every screen to its December 17 opening, with shows running as frequently as every 15 minutes.

According to Variety, almost every Imax screening across the country is already sold out.

Fandango told the site that theater chains are continually adding extra showtimes to keep up with demand.

The film is expected to smash all box office records when it finally does open in exactly four weeks time. 

Most pundits predict it will stomp all over Jurassic World's recent $208.8million debut to become the biggest US opening film of all time.

And while the Christmas market is typically a very competitive one, it is expected to become the first ever movie to open at more than $100million in December, burning the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey's record of $85million.

While Jurassic World made nearly three times as much on opening weekend, Avatar ended up outselling it by $100million worth of tickets.

When adjusted for inflation however, neither film touches Gone With The Wind, which has made $1.6billion in the US alone since its 1939 release.
