Kate Hudson has revealed that, while she will once again be hosting her family's Thanksgiving celebrations, her mom Goldie Hawn will most definitely be the one running the show.

'I'm the venue [but] mom still does everything. Mom's all over it,' the star said while debuting her new 2016 Campari calendar at an event in New York City this week.

The 36-year-old mother-of-two also said that this year will be different from most because she and her mom are traveling in the days leading up to the holiday as a special treat to celebrate Goldie's seventieth birthday.

Kate Hudson looked liked she was channeling her inner hippie chic at LAX airport. The blondie donned flare jeans, a tribal coat, a graphic gray tee and some gorgeous orange mirrored KREWE shades.

The place to be: Kate, 36, also shared that her mom delegates responsibilities for Thanksgiving even though it is celebrated at Kate's house

Kate and Goldie were both seen at Los Angeles' LAX airport on Thursday, where they departed for their mother-daughter vacation. The blondes were dressed casually for the flight to the mystery destination.

Next week, they will be arriving back in LA just in time for Thanksgiving, where the Overboard star takes the lead in the preparations despite the dinner being held at her daughter's house.

'I'm doing all the stuff. Mom's delegating,' Kate explained, adding that she's actually quite a baker, but has hired someone to make the crusts for her pies this year since she will be out of town in the days leading up to the special dinner.

'I do all the desserts. I love making pastries. I make seven to nine pies every year,' she divulged.

Party it up! Wearing a Naeem Khan jumpsuit, she celebrated the calendar's release on Wednesday at an event in New York City

It is unclear whether Kate's sons Ryder, 11, and Bingham, four, will be home with her for the holiday or spending time with their fathers, The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, respectively.

Kate was married to Chris from 2000 to 2007 and engaged to Matt until December of last year.

She did say, however, that parenting her two little boys on her own isn't really that hard - and in some ways, she actually prefers it.

'It's actually easier being a single mom,' she said. 'I don't have to check in with anybody. It's simpler. But at the same time, being a mom in general... I think it's just challenging raising kids.'

'It can be really exhausting. At the same time it's the most rewarding,' she went on, adding that she also has a lot of help.

One of her most important helpers is in her own family. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star said that she can always rely on her brother, Nashville actor Oliver Hudson - and he relies on her a lot, too, with his children Rio, Wilder, and Bodhi.

'My brother's amazing. We help each other out a lot,' she said. But even though Oliver is married to his children's mother, actress Erinn Bartlett, he seems to use Kate for babysitting more.

'My brother actually uses me more so than I use him,' Kate added. 'He goes out with his wife for the weekend and leaves the kids. I'm like, I'm single! I'm supposed to be out!'
