They might have split two years ago but after setting tongues wagging following a flirtatious meeting in Los Angeles, Shane Warne has hinted that he and Elizabeth Hurley are rekindling their romance.

Speaking to Australian TV show The Project on Friday about the potential for romance between the pair, the cricket hero teased: 'Watch this space.'

The Channel 10 panel asked Shane if things were back on with the English actress and model and implied that it was Shane who was to blame for the break-up in 2013.

Warne had made an immediate beeline for the actress, who raced down to the field after cheering him on from her vantage point in an executive box - where she was seen applying make-up before greeting the cricketer.

Earlier that night Hurley - who was attending the event with cast-mates from TV show The Royals - shared a Twitter snap in which she poses alongside Australian co-star Alexandra Park.

They later became engaged and bought a Cotswolds mansion together - but separated in 2013.

Shane appeared on the television show to dismiss claims that have been made about his charity the Shane Warne Foundation.

He told the panel the accusations are completely untrue, adding: 'We've done absolutely nothing wrong.'
