Brilliant Beschizza lands Brighton's most valuable race

Conciliatory, partnered by leading conditional jockey Adam Beschizza, landed the Brighton Mile, the most valuable race of the seaside track's three-day festival.

Beschizza, who won the biggest race of his career in the John Smith's Cup at York last month, steered the Rae Guest-trained filly to a one-and-a-quarter length victory in the £15,000 contest.

Meanwhile, Hayley Moore, daughter of trainer Gary Moore and sister of three-time champion jockey Ryan, makes her official debut as Britain's first female commentator at the East Sussex track on Thursday.
