After a solo trip to New York where she hosted a charity gala and took in a Broadway musical, Jennifer Garner was back on full mommy duty on Thursday in Los Angeles.

The actress, 43, was photographed running errands with her middle child Seraphina, six, in the Brentwood neighborhood.

She wore her favored skinny jeans and a long-sleeved top with her favorite tortoiseshell-framed sunglasses and ankle boots with chunky heels.

On Tuesday night, the mom-of-three had looked sensational as she stepped out in a Michael Kors designer gown with a cut-out panel between her breasts at a Save The Children fundraiser in Manhattan.

For the first time in a long while, Jen, looking elegant and poised, appeared ready to embrace the spotlight on her own terms following months of scrutiny over her failed marriage.

And back in LA, she displayed her new-found happiness again, laughing and giving a thumbs up as she got behind the wheel of her car with her daughter by her side for the trip home.

With estranged husband Ben currently filming his new movie in Canada, parental duties have fallen once again on Jen's shoulders.

The Alias star and the Argo director announced their intention to divorce back in June after 10 years of marriage, although they have said they wish to keep their split amicable for the sake of their three children.

Seraphina has an older sister Violet, nine, and a young brother Samuel, three.
