'Guess I'm not a Yankees fan anymore': 50 Cent slams Derek Jeter after he ditches underwear brand saying rapper made it 'too urban'

50 Cent isn't too happy with Derek Jeter after the retired baseball player reportedly backed out of a deal to promote underwear brand Frigo, which the rapper is a spokesperson for.

The 40-year-old vented his frustrations on social media after it was reported that Jeter is being sued by the Swedish company for lost profits.

Court documents reportedly claim Jeter didn't like that they hired 'Fiddy' because it made the high-end brand 'too urban' for his liking.

According to the lawsuit, Jeter, 41, signed a three-year deal in 2011 to be a director for the underwear line and agreed to appear at major public events.

But during its U.S launch in 2013 Jeter reportedly said he didn't want to be publicly associated with the company.

TMZ reports Frigo then hired 50 Cent as a brand ambassador which didn't sit well with the former Yankees player who said the hip-hop star representing the line would make it 'too urban' for his tastes.

As brand ambassador of the underwear company, 50 heavily promotes it on social media, using the hashtag #FRIGO on most posts - so he didn't take the news well.

The father-of-two took to Instagram on Wednesday sharing a photo of Jeter and writing: 'Wow, guess I'm not a Yankees fan anymore. LETS GO METS? Man you can't trust nobody these day.smh'

The majority owner of Frigo, Mathias Ingvarsson, is making the claims and also alleges the company lost $30 million in value.

He is asking that Jeter - who is half Irish, half African-American - pays $4.7 million to help make things right.

Frigo has since hired Carmelo Anthony and Timbaland to help promote the line.

50 Cent also fronts several other companies and is the founder of SMS Audio, SK Energy, Effen Vodka and SMS Promotions which filed for bankruptcy this year.
