Dakota Johnson flashes her bra in a sheer floral ruffled gown as she leads the glamour at Michael Kors' Tokyo store opening

Dakota Johnson earned top marks for her sensational sartorial display at Michael Kors' Tokyo, Japan, store opening on Friday.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actress favoured red and blacks as she paid a personal homage to the host country with her choice of frock.

Dakota, 26, owned the style spotlight as she rocked up to the glitzy event, dressed in a billowing kimono-style gown.

The 21 Jump Street star turned heads as she glided onto the red carpet in her bright red dress which was frilled in style and adorned with patches of different shades of scarlet and contrasting black to give the illusion of flowers.

Although the sweeping length swamped her svelte form, she added definition with a black leather sash belt in another ode to the country's traditional dress.

Dakota's show-stopping one-piece also featured billowing sleeves which were tightened to her wrists with an elasticated cuff as well as a semi-sheer neckline, exposing her black strapless bra.

Shake it up in chiffon like Dakota

Dakota Johnson can do no wrong in our eyes. One thing we love about this actress is that she picks clothing that she can pull off...she wears the dress rather than the dress wearing her (make sense?).

The starlet attended Michael Kors' store opening in Tokyo and decided to go for the classic floral chiffon gown similar to a kimono dress.

We love her Michael Kors dress. From the hi low layering to its black and red detailing, this dress is a HIT.

Unsurprisingly, this dress is sold out but you can still click right and shop the current Michael Kors collections.

She teamed the floor-length frock with a pair of black strappy heels which were visible thanks to a cut-out in the hem.

The daughter of Melanie Griffith ensured her hair and beauty didn't detract attention from her party piece, opting for lightly-flushed cheeks, a glossy red lip and a pretty updo.

Dakota was joined by fellow Michael Kors fan Poppy Delevingne who too made an effort to honour the host country.

Poppy, 29, was dressed in a mustard yellow wrap dress which featured a plunging neckline and a draping knotted sash.

The muted tone complemented her lightly-tanned complexion while the knee-length hem offered a generous glimpse of her lean limbs.

The elder sister of Cara Delevingne elongated her already-lengthy pins with a pair of patent leather lace-up stilettos which matched her dress.

A brown leather animal-printed clutch bag afforded a clashing touch while she scraped her blonde locks into a high ponytail, accentuating her model looks.

Meanwhile, Japanese fashion model Rola, 25, flew the flag for her native Tokyo while London-born Harley Viera-Newton also attended.
