And Donna Air ensured things were no different as she wrapped up in layers of chunky knitwear for the launch of Winter Wonderland at London's Hyde Park on Thursday night.

The 36 year-old TV presenter looked effortlessly glamorous for the festive night out, which she attended without her long term boyfriend James Middleton, the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge.

The stunning blonde went for a dressed down ensemble of black skinny jeans and a cosy-looking roll-neck knitted grey jumper, layered over a navy top.

Adding a mix of colour to her otherwise plain outfit, the mother-of-one went for a red, green and navy cropped tartan jacket, with cute button detailing.

The Geordie beauty kept the look casual with black ankle boots, with a low, chunky heel, and embellishment around the toe.

Looking as pretty as ever, Donna wore her locks down in no-fuss waves, bouncing gently around her shoulders, and went for a minimal amount of make up, looking fresh faced and youthful.

The former Byker Grove actress was flying solo at the event without her boyfriend James, who she started dating nearly three years ago.

Donna - who has a daughter Freya, 12, from a previous long-term relationship with casino millionaire Damian Aspinall - started dating James, 28, back in March 2013.

The former Big Breakfast host's appearance comes around a month after she and cupcake entrepreneur James released a joint statement to the Mail on Sunday, insisting they were still very much together - in spite of reports to the contrary.

Proving the couple had retained a sense of humour in the drama, James and Donna said: 'Mark Twain once complained that reports of his death were exaggerated.

'A few days ago we were equally amazed to read the obituaries of our relationship splashed across the national press.

'Happily, we can report that our relationship is not over. We are still very much a couple and have not parted ways. These stories are completely untrue and without merit.'
