New look: Brad Pitt surprised fans when he stepped out in Berlin on Thursday, where he cut a rather distinguished figure in the German city
Barely recognisable in his new guise, the good-looking star looked demonstrably more mature with his lighter locks.
Dressed in relaxed-fit jeans and a wax jacket, his character's fashion sense didn't seem to help matters, deliberately ageing him.
Fortunately, it didn't seem to bother him - as he continually laughed and joked with fellow members of the cast and crew.

Fortunately, fans of the Hollywood star won't need to worry - as the look is only a device to transform him into his latest on-screen character.
The father-of-six is set to play a US military general in the upcoming military blockbuster the role thought to be inspired by Stanley McChrystal, who led the US war effort in Afghanistan.
Brad's character, billed as a 'rock star' general with a 'lethal reputation', is loosely based on the army veteran.

Brad and his cast and crew have decamped to Berlin for the next location, after shooting scenes at the Dunsfold Aerodrome - where the Top Gear test track is located - in Surrey, England last week.
Filming for the film, which is based on the late Michael Hastings' best-selling book, began in mid-October 2015 in London before the set moved to Abu Dhabi, which was transformed into Kabul.
It is set to make history as one of the original movies produced by streaming service Netflix, hot on the heels of a stream of successful TV shows including Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards.
The movie is slated for a 2016 release in the US but no information has been revealed for a UK release date as of yet.

The latest sighting comes just hours after Brad cut a more clandestine figure during a visit to a local art gallery.
Brad, 51, was dressed down for his arty day out, teaming dark jeans with a suede jacket layered over a tweed waistcoat.
He added a scarf and one of his favourite flap caps to the look as he was seen heading inside the gallery with an aide.

The show is titled Metro Mattresses, and consists of a series of drawings depicting discarded mattresses left on the streets of the artist's home city of Los Angeles.
Brad, who along with his wife Angelina Jolie is a keen collector of modern art from the likes of Banksy and Schoony, was also seen visiting the studio of Danish artist Ólafur Elíasson during his time away from set.
