She's in the middle of a difficult split from her husband of 13 years.

But Gwen Stefani looked a world away from heartbreak as she hit a star-studded dinner with her new man Blake Shelton in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The singer and her The Voice co-star turned lover were in the party spirit as they mingled with her celeb pals at the Barneys New York dinner to celebrate the store's collaboration with jewelery designer Jennifer Meyer.

Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer's husband Tobey Maguire hosted the dinner for a VIP crowd, with Gwen showing off her effortless sense of style.

Gwen 46, teamed distressed jeans with a frilly white shirt, layered under a statement jacket.

A pair of spiked black ankle boots finished off the edgy ensemble, while the No Doubt frontwoman slicked on her signature red lipstick and a matching nail colour.

Her platinum blonde locks were pulled back into a high ponytail, while her flawless complexion was highlighted with a touch of blusher.

While Gwen did not pose with Blake, the two both seemed happy to be at the bash.

Gwen was seen laughing and joking around with her pals, just hours after she opened up about her transitional time in an interview on The Tommy Show on 94.7 fresh FM on Wednesday.

The star revealed some regret about her divorce, as she said: 'I wish it didn't happen. I wish this, that all this wasn't happening,'

The 46-year-old singer also admitted there are 'so many bad things' about splitting with British musician Gavin after 13 years of marriage.

She added: 'But at the same time, I feel like it was part of my life journey.'

It was claimed last week that Gwen ended the couple's union after discovering Gavin, 50, had had a three-year affair with the family's nanny.

She may be dating country music star, Blake Shelton, but Gwen Stefani isn't trading in her signature rocker chic look for anyone!

The mother-of-three made an appearance at Barneys New York in LA wearing her favorite pair of Dsquared2 jeans and a ruffled top. She finished it all off with an embellished jacket by Comme de Garcons and a pair of studded Christian Louboutin booties.

Gwen seems to have taken a liking to Dsquared2 dungarees and we don't blame her. The slouchy fit is both comfy and cool and the decorative stitching gives this distressed denim a patchwork effect.

The Bush frontman has yet to comment on reports he and the younger Australian nanny, Mindy Mann, were involved.

Gwen, who recently released emotional ballad Used To Love You said she's grateful to be able to write about her heartache.

'In my life, I've had two really bad heartbreaks and I've written some really incredible music out of it' she said, adding 'I feel so lucky to have that, and to be able to share it.'

The night before, on Tuesday's elimination episode of The Voice, Gwen likened her divorce to the coming-of-age of her singer Korin Bukowski.

The singer compared her break up from Gavin to Korin's blossoming, as she told the hopeful: 'I feel like we were put together for a reason. We are both kind of in similar situations, in terms of busting out of cocoon worlds, about ready to fly.'

'You've got a whole new chapter ahead of you. So have I,' she added with gravitas.
