'It's literally taken my breath away': Adele thanks fans for their support as she releases her third studio album 25 

She rocketed straight to the top of the charts with her comeback single, Hello.

Continuing to break records in the music industry, Adele has revealed she is 'overwhelmed' and 'grateful' for the support her new album, 25, has received.

Taking to her various social media platforms on Friday on the release of her third studio offering, the 27-year-old thanked fans for taking her 'breath away'.

The sporadic social media user shared an image of her statement in which she wrote: 'This feels like such a long time coming, my new album is finally out.'

She continued: 'I am so overwhelmed and grateful to be able to even put another record out, and put it out how I want.

'The last month has been a whirlwind, it's literally taken my breath away.'

Released through independent record label XL Recordings, Adele co-wrote some of the songs on 25 with the likes of Bruno Mars, Ryan Tedder, Greg Kurstin and Paul Epworth. 

Humbled by reception so far, the London born star wished all fans happy listening sessions, she added: 'I hope you enjoy the record as much as I enjoyed making it for you.'

Signing off while making reference to her chart-topping single Hello, she ended the note: 'See you on the other side... love Adele x'

Hailed as the 'queen of heartache', The Daily Mail's Adrian Thrills asserted that 25 is a 'great' body of work. 

Thrills explained: 'This return finds her tapping back into a rich vein of melodic, heartfelt songwriting to produce something that will delight her huge audience.'

Continuing he added: 'With its tight, elegant pop numbers and tear-jerking ballads, 25 strays only fleetingly from the styles that made her a star, but there’s no harm in sticking to tradition when you can sing like this.'
