Debra's screengrab of the man's messages shows that he also sent her an explicit combination of emojis after he sent the penis photo.

In a series of tweets, the actress detailed how the photo came her way, sharing: 'Someone sent me a DM of his very VERY large penis... That's all.'

Debra added: 'I definitely do NOT know him/it... [it] came through my Instagram Message Requests. It was unpixelated.'

Her followers applauded her for outing the man and speaking out about the offensive nature of sending someone unwanted d**k pics.

One man commented on the post: 'I'd like to apologize on behalf of my gender,' to which Debra responded: 'Thank you. You are a gentleman.'

Another person joked: 'I suspect whoever sent that is far more enamored with his penis than anyone else ever has been.'

However, some commenters said that Debra posting the photo - and calling the man's penis 'large' - was just giving the offender what he wanted.

'You told everyone that guy had a big penis, and then gave his name out to all your female fans. Um yeah... you showed him!' wrote one Twitter user.

However, Debra didn't miss a beat, and was quick to correct the man, saying she never gave out the d**k pic sender's name.

'I did NOT give his name. I blacked it out,' she replied to the mistaken user, who promptly apologized to her.

The actress also posted a revision to her original assessment of the man's penis, tweeting:  'I've been told by countless people I was wrong. It was the angle of the camera.'

All joking aside, Debra took the incident as an opportunity to speak out about the offensiveness of receiving unsolicited X-rated photos, and even gave her followers advice on how to deal with getting such messages.

'There is NO DOUBLE STANDARD,' she wrote. 'ANY stranger sending graphic pix to ANYONE (male, female, et al) is UNACCEPTABLE.'

And when one Twitter user told Debra a man had threatened her after she told him to stop sending her unwanted sexual photos, the star replied: 'Take a screen shot of the threat. Report him.'
