More insight into Kourtney Kardashian's troubled relationship with Scott Disick was shared on Friday.

In the new teaser for Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 36-year-old E! beauty is heard crying on the phone with her mother Kris Jenner as she explains why her union with the hard-partying reality bad boy fell apart.

'He flaked on going to the kids' first day of school,' said Kourtney as her voice cracked. 'He says, "I can't go because I hate school s**t, I get anxious.' When really he went out and partied through the next day, just like a real f***ing a**hole.'

Kris started by calling Kourtney for input as she talks to Scott in her kitchen.

'I'm just trying to be the mediator here and not cause a problem, and you're my priority," she says to Kardashian over the phone. "I'm just wondering from your perspective, because Scott seems a little confused because he thought there was an open door policy that he could come by whenever.'

'There was,' Kardashian, 36, says over the phone. 'There was, but that has changed. He was flaking too often, every time I tried to have him sit and have dinner with [the kids] he sits in the other room on his phone.'

This comes just after Kim caught Scott at Kourtney's house.

Kim is seen having a heart-to-heart chat with Kourtney about the current status of her relationship with her ex Scott when, surprise, in he walks through the kitchen where they are.

Kim appears to be all ears as Kourtney, 36, tells her what's going with the Scott situation: 'He's like, "I just want my family,"... and I'm like, "Well, what are you doing to try to change your life?"

Kourtney and Scott called it quits in July after nearly nine years together and three children, Mason, five, Penelope, three, and Reign, who turns one next month.

Scott has been receiving outpatient treatment at Cliffside Malibu rehab centre, as People reported.

The business entrepreneur, meanwhile, was seen looking at potential new homes in Beverly Hills on Thursday, keeping his face covered with the help of a baseball cap and beard.

Kourtney Kardashian always manages to underplay her ensembles and ends up coming out on top. The eldest, most educated of the sisters generally refrains from the over-the-top looks that Kim, Khloe and Kylie tend to favor.

Here, case in point. She attended a WWD Variety event in Culver City on Thursday in an olive suede two-piece set. Very simple. High impact.

The coordinates are by Alice + Olivia and, although you can't quite see it here, Kourtney's top is cropped and has a fierce racer-back that exposes plenty of back with a contrasting zip running down the middle. Love!
