QPR boss Warnock eyes Rangers' £10m-rated striker Jelavic

Neil Warnock's search for attacking reinforcements has turned to Nikica Jelavic after the QPR boss sent scouts to watch the Croatian in action for Rangers.

Jelavic has been in devastating form in front of goal for Rangers, having bagged 12 goals in 18 league appearances for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders.

His stunning form has also put the 26-year-old former Rapid Vienna forward on Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill's January wish list.

But the club's £10million valuation could prove prohibitive for a player without English top-flight experience.

However, if a deal for £7m can be agreed Warnock could be tempted to ask chairman Tony Fernandes to sanction the move, according to reports in the Mirror.
