AP McCoy writes off £60,000 Porsche after being involved in car accident on the M4
- AP McCoy emerged unhurt following the crash on the M4 near Swindon

- McCoy confirmed he couldn't avoid collision after a van and car crashed
- Emergency services said six people were treated for injuries at the scene
Horse racing legend AP McCoy was involved in a car crash near Swindon on Wednesday morning and saw his £60,000 Porsche written off.
The 41-year-old emerged unscathed after the smash on the M4 and it is thought a car and van ahead of him collided, leaving McCoy unable to avoid the collision.
The recently-retired jockey and other motorists were all unhurt, but all three vehicles - including his Porsche Panamera - were written off.

A van was flipped onto its side during the incident but the driver of the vehicle managed to walk away
A Mercedes ML350 was also involved, with McCoy confirming a car and van crashed in front of him
Photographs appear to show the front of the vehicle smashed, with the luxury car up against the central reservation.
The Northern Irishman was also pictured standing at the side of the road following his lucky escape.
McCoy did confirm he was unhurt following the collision: 'A van collided with a car in front of me and I had nowhere to go.
'I'm fine and and everyone else involved is good, which is unbelievable really, as it was a fair old impact.
'The three vehicles are gone (written off), but it's nice to walk away from something like that.'
The M4 was shut between between junctions 15, for Swindon East, and 14, following the crash at 9.30am.

Emergency services said six people were injured and treated at the scene by South Western Ambulance Service crews.
Those involved, including McCoy, managed to get out of their vehicles before emergency services arrived.
McCoy is regarded as the greatest jockey in racing history and retired earlier this year with 4,357 career wins in the saddle.
The 41-year-old also became the first ever jockey to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year back in 2010, while clinching major races such as the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Grand National, King George VI Chase and the Champion Hurdle during his illustrious career.
