'Hello?' Matthew McConaughey tricks Adele into saying the name of her hit single as she answers his flip phone in hilarious SNL teaser
Only an Oscar-winning actor could have pulled it off.
Matthew McConaughey showed off his acting chops by keeping a perfectly straight face as he tricked Adele into answering his phone in a Saturday Night Live promo, released on Friday.
Of course, the show's musical guest said 'Hello,' which as every fan knows is the name of the superstar singer's new hit.
His cell was an old fashioned flip phone - a nod to the one featured in her music video.

The pair and SNL featured player Cecily Strong had two goes at making the teaser, both released by NBC in one 32-second clip.
In the first, Cecily reminds them that the promo has to be short. But Matthew, who is the guest host, goes off on a tangent talking about aliens in Roswell, New Mexico, before being cut off.
In the second, he gets a call on his cell phone and immediately hands it to the 27-year-old singer - to make her say 'hello' as Cecily whined, 'It's always for Adele.'

The beautiful blonde Brit's appearance coincides with Friday's release of her third album, 25.
Meanwhile Matthew, who celebrated his 46th birthday earlier this month, posted another promo on Instagram on Thursday.
He admitted to show regular Kate McKinnon that he's nervous saying: 'It's been 14 years since I've been on the show.

She tricked him into doing the chest thump from the Wolf Of Wall Street to calm himself down, giggling to the camera as he concentrated on the move.
The actor is in town to film Gold, which required him to shave a bald spot on the top of his head. To try to make his new 'do less noticeable, the star buzz cut the rest of his locks as well.
Matthew has three more films set up for next year: The Free State Of Jones, Kubo And The Two Strings and Sing.
