Tyra Banks quits her own TV show after less than three months following 'disastrous' ratings
Tyra Banks has quit her own daytime TV show after less than three months.
FABLife, which she also executive produces, debuted in September as the No. 1 new syndicated talk show, but the big audience didn't last.
An insider recently described the ratings as a 'disaster' and 'catastrophic' to the New York Post.

Out: Tyra Banks is leaving her own daytime TV show FABLife, but will stay on as an executive producer
Banks insisted that she was scaling back on the show to focus on her cosmetics line in a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter.
'This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,' she said in the statement. FABLife is produced by Disney/ABC. Banks will remain as executive producer through December.
Her co-hosts and contributors - including Chrissy Teigen - will remain on the show.
Shifting gears: Banks, pictured attended the Paley Center For Media's Tribute to African-American Achievements in Television in Los Angeles in October, said she will be 'devoting more time' to TYRA Beauty
'I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company's other entertainment ventures.
'I will however continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show,' Banks added.
Fashion editor Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk and YouTube star Leah Ashley also appear on the show.
Shining star: The 41-year-old, pictured at the TCA Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills in August, also had her own talk show and judged America's Next Top Model
An insider told DailyMail.com: 'Tyra was miserable and started negotiating an out clause to her contract. It didn’t happen fast enough. She wanted her own show, not an ensemble. Tyra doesn't play well with others.'
The insider added that producers are considering putting the show on hiatus until after the New Years, however all remains up in the air at the moment.
TMZ also reported that it was not a harmonious set.

Tyra 'did not get along' with one executive producer, and was further angered that her beauty line was not given the level of publicity she claims she was told it would receive, the website adds.
The website adds that executives revealed the show would be headed in a new path during a recent meeting.
Since it's premiere in September, the show has welcomed celebrities on stage that include Nick Lachey, Chrissy's husband John Legend, and fitness celebrity Jillian Michaels.
Fresh face: Teigen, Banks, Leah, and Lauren removed their makeup for the FABLife's Nude Show
FABLife also made headlines in late September for an episode entitled the Nude Show, in which Tyra and her co-hosts removed their makeup on air.
It is certainly not Tyra's first go at talk television.
The catwalk queen hosted the Daytime Emmy-award winning The Tyra Banks Show, which came to an end after five seasons in 2010.

Prior to launching her career in daytime television, Tyra took reality television by storm as the co-creator and star of America's Next Top Model.
The hit reality show, which debuted in 2003 and saw aspiring models compete for a lucrative contract, will now be ending this December after 22 cycles.
Tyra announced that the current season would be the last for America's Next Top Model on social media in October.

'TYRA MAIL! Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle. I truly believe it's time. May your pics be forever fierce. Keep on Smizing!' she wrote on Twitter, signing the tweet with a yellow heart emoji and her name.
Though the show had indeed been a major hit for years, its ratings had been on a steady decline.
After the first nine seasons entertained over five million viewers, by season 18, which ran in 2012, it was down two under two million. Season 21, which aired last year, was down to about one and a half million regular viewers.

However, according to Deadline, the CW show may have a chance to return on another network, as the website reports it is being pitched to other outlets with Tyra's blessing.
Meanwhile, Tyra is also an executive producer of the upcoming Disney TV movie, Life-Size 2.
The movie, which is about a young girl whose doll comes to life, is a sequel to the 2000 Disney film Life-Size, which Tyra also starred in.
