- His family noticed the distinctive heart-shaped mark on his right shin
- Grandmother Leslie Johnson says he is already melting hearts
- She said: 'He's definitely going to be a hit with the ladies he can literally show them his heart'
Any proud new parent would call their baby a little cherub.
But little Liam Bailey really deserves the epithet after being born with a birthmark - the shape of a heart.
Proud mum Candice Johnson, 33, was over the moon that her second son was born healthy on Thursday morning - but was astonished to see the distinctive mark on his right shin.
Liam Bailey was born a heart-heart shaped birthmark on his right shin in Woolwich, south London
She and partner Neil Bailey were overjoyed by his healthy arrival at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich, south London, weighing 8lbs 7oz.
Proud grandmother Leslie Johnson, 52, said his unique stamp was already melting hearts and promised to be a hit with the ladies as he gets older.
'It's perfect - he's just so lovely,' she said.
'He's definitely going to be a hit with the ladies - he can literally show them his heart.
'It's wonderful - really dinky and cute.
'He's going to do well when he is 16 and 17 and trying to chat one of the girls up.'
The grandmother-of-three added: 'As soon as anyone looks at it, they say, 'Oh my god, it's a heart.'
'I've always said I'd never get a tattoo, but I think I might have to now - I'll get a heart on my leg, just like my lovely grandson.'
Earlier this year, it was revealed how Hanru van Niekerk was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on November 11, 2014, with a strange birthmark on his face in the shape of digits '1' and '2'.
Doctors reassured the family of the boy, who has just turned one, that the markings will gradually fade with time.
According to NHS Choices, birthmarks come in two main categories, vascular or pigmented.
Vascular birthmarks tend to occur in the head or neck area, being caused by abnormal blood vessels in or under the skin, which can fade after a few months.
In comparison, pigmented birthmarks are tan or brown-coloured, caused by a cluster of pigment cells.
Most birthmarks are harmless and don't need to be treated.
