Man's best friend: Pierce Brosnan sports grey chin fluff and matching moustache as he enjoys stroll with pet dog
He's maintained somewhat of a low-profile in recent months.
And Pierce Brosnan's time out from the Hollywood spotlight appeared to be catching up with him as he looked worlds apart from his James Bond days when he was pictured out and about in Malibu, Los Angeles, on Wednesday.
The former 007 cut a very relaxed figure, complete with some newly-sprouted facial hair when he was spotted walking his pet dog.

Embracing the lack of glamour: Pierce Brosnan sported newly-grown facial hair as he enjoyed a stroll with his pet dog in Malibu, Los Angeles, on Wednesday
Pierce, 62, sported grey chin fluff and a matching moustache as he enjoyed a low-key outing with man's best friend.
He teamed his low-maintenance look with a grey hooded jumper, a navy T-shirt and a pair of black jeans.
A pair of aviator sunglasses and some hiking trainers pulled the Irish actor's outfit together.

Pierce's outfit appeared to mirror his mood as he was seemingly chilled, chatting on the phone while clutching his furry friend's lead.
His sighting came soon after he offered his thoughts on the latest James Bond release - Spectre - for the first time.
Surprisingly, Pierce - who played the titular role in four films from 1995 to 2002 - branded the storyline 'weak' and too drawn out.
Not the biggest fan: Pierce - who played the secret spy in four films from 1995 to 2002 - said the Spectre storyline was 'weak'
Talking to HitFix, he said: 'I was looking forward to it enormously. I thought it was too long. The story was kind of weak - it could have been condensed. It kind of went on too long. It really did.'
However, Pierce was full of praise for Daniel Craig's performance and added: 'Daniel, in the fourth go-round, has ownership of it. He had a nice looseness to him. He's a mighty warrior, and I think he found a great sense of himself in this one with the one-liners and a nice playfulness there. Just get a tighter story, and he'll have another classic.'
In the interview, he also touched on the 47-year-old's recent comment that he'd rather 'slash his wrists than reprise the role of Bond'.
Defending him, he offered: 'By the time you finish making a Bond movie, you don't want to hear the name, see the name or have anything to do with it because you just want to go to ground. Give him another year off here, and he'll be ready to rock and roll for sure.'
Owning the role: The Irish actor was full of praise for Daniel Craig's performance as James Bond in the franchise's latest release but said he was somewhat let down by the plot
