After accumulating a wealth of professional experience in his 17-year career, Jamie Carragher has set about helping the country's younger generation by spending time with England's Under 17 squad.
The 37-year-old attended Steve Cooper's U17s squad's training sessions at St George's Park this week before heading to Rotherham on Friday night to watch their match against Germany.
Carragher's presence was seemingly beneficial, as the Young Lions ran out 2-1 winners at the New York Stadium, with goals from Mason Mount and Niall Ennis.

And he will have witnessed a fine goal from the young team, whose winner came from a well-worked corner routine which included two backheels.
A Champions League winner with Liverpool in 2005, Carragher made 737 appearances for the Reds and collected 38 England caps between 1999 and 2010.
And Carragher sat with Cooper - who joined the FA from Liverpool's academy, initially assuming the post of FA Youth Coach Educator in 2013 - in the dugout for the U17s' game, which was broadcast live on BT Sport.
Fellow former England defender Rio Ferdinand will meet the U16s squad next week and take part in a question and answer session before the team flies to the Nike Tournament in Florida.
FA Technical Director, Dan Ashworth, has spoken to the Football Association's official website of his delight that Carragher and Ferdinand are lending their time to try and inspire England's new crop of talent.
'I am delighted that we've got such fantastic role-models working with our development teams,' he said.
'One of the big parts of the England DNA, when we launched our philosophy, was to be able to tell young players what it meant to play for the Three Lions.
'Jamie and Rio's experiences on and off the pitch are vital and I am both happy and grateful to them, that they want to pass on their advice to our young players.'
Carragher then headed to Rotherham on Friday night to watch the England U17s beat Germany 2-1
