And Katie Holmes continued her monochromatic flare when she hosted An Intimate Celebration Honoring WWD and Variety Stylemakers' Designer of the Year, Zac Posen, at a bash held at Los Angeles opulent Elyx House on Thursday evening.

The 36-year-old actress maintained her chic demeanor in a sophisticated white co-ord as she mingled with guests at the elegant soiree.

Katie Holmes isn't afraid to push the boundaries when it comes to fashion and last night she once again took her look a little left field.

Wearing Zac Posen, one of her favorite designers, she played with proportions in this all-white outfit from his SS16 collection. The culottes are so voluminous they could easily be mistaken for a full skirt.

We think this would have looked better without the jacket. If you're going large on the bottom then you want to keep the top sleek and fitted. But the idea of a pair of wide leg culottes is a good one.

They're very 'now' and look fabulous with heels and a sharp shirt for work or silky camisole for night. So recreate the bottom half of Katie's ensemble with one of the options in our edit below. We've found super wide styles at Missguided, Asos and Net-a-Porter that'll do the trick.
