Joseph Gordon-Levitt donned lipstick and rocked a ponytail during his performance of the song, Rhythm Nation, on Spike's Lip Sync Battle on Thursday.

The 34-year-old lip synced to Janet Jackson's hit song, showing off his impressive dance moves as he faced Anthony Mackie in a battle.

The actor, who wore bright pink blush and eye makeup, gave a passionate performance, complete with hand movements and heavy choreography during their one-hour holiday special.

His performance mimicked Janet's music video, complete with the military inspired costume, ponytail and dance routine.

Anthony, who performed the song, 2 Legit 2 Quit, appeared in awe of the dedicated performance.

The (500) Days of Summer star didn't break character once as he took over the stage.

The Don Jon star recently became a dad in August 2015, after his wife, Tasha McCauley, gave birth to their son.

The couple will celebrate their first wedding anniversary this December.

Joseph, Anthony and Seth are co-stars in the film, The Night Before, set to be released on November 20.

The holiday comedy is about three friends, two of which are Jewish, trying to find the Nutcracka Ball, the holy grail of Christmas parties in New York City.
