Katie Price cancels her online Q&A after selling only THIRTEEN tickets following backlash from fans over £9 fee

She managed to keep her name in the limelight for almost two decades.

But while she is a bestselling author and the owner of a clothing line, it would seem that a live 30 minute Q&A with Katie Price isn't something worth paying for.

As the 37-year-old has cancelled her online Stageit chat show after only selling 13 tickets.

Flop! Katie Price has cancelled her Stageit Q&A after selling only THIRTEEN tickets

Over the last two week, Price, who has two million Twitter followers, attempted to sell 1000 tickets for her live Q&A session at the cost of £16.

However despite slashing prices to just £9 earlier this week, Katie failed to see a rise in sales leading to the cancellation.

On Sunday a Facebook message posted by the reality star read: 'Want to see me live? Come join me for my online chat Tickets are now only £9!!! Get in quick before they sell out! Xx'.

Billed as an opportunity to catch up with Katie 'on a more personal level', The Live From My House event was due to take place at 12pm on November 20.

The struggle to shift the tickets came as the mother-of-five faced backlash from furious fans, who blasted her for charging for the event.

With many of admirers complaining that the chat show should have been free, one person wrote on Facebook: 'I like u but charging people to talk to you is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!' (sic)

Another added: 'Do you realise there are people who are 'bigger' and more 'famous' than you who do this completely out of the kindness of their hearts as a thank you to their fans who support them!!'

Meanwhile a spokesperson for Price issued a statement asserting that a conflict in communication led to the online show being terminated.

The representative explained: 'Katie actually cancelled her Stageit chat a while ago as she’s in the process of launching her own app which will include Q&A’s with fans.

'It was set up by a representative abroad without knowing this was already in development and it was cancelled as soon as we were made aware of it.'

Set to be Katie's first Stageit Show, avid social media user promised that if it was successful she would start doing them regularly, but by Wednesday she had just 34 followers on her Stageit page.

The show's description stated: 'So this is my FIRST Stageit Show! I am going to start doing these regularly if you all want me to.

'So you are all probably wondering what it is that I will be doing here. I'm going to be talking to you all live from my home, answering your questions, telling you what has been happening in my life, catching up and spending 30 minutes with you all on a more personal level.'

She continued: 'I haven't had the chance to do this in SUCH a long time that I decided it was about time to get back to basics and talk to you all a little more like we used to.

'So come in, sit down with your cuppa, get your questions ready and spend some time with me at my new house...and you never know who could swing by!'

Katie had also vowed to reward fans who tipped her throughout the session by following them on Facebook and Instagram.

Jon Bon Jovi, George Clinton, Nina Dobrev, CeCe Winans, Kristin Cavallari and Trey Songz are among other celebrities who have used Stageit.
